Procedures

• Audley End Aerodrome is an 800m grass strip elevation 283ft AMSL, 1nm SW of Saffron Walden close to the edge of the Stansted CTR and beneath the Stansted CTA.

• Due to the runway orientation 36/18, runway 18 departures or runway 36 arrivals risk infringement of the Stansted CTR. The purpose of this Agreement is designed to allow such arrivals and departures to take place without reference to TC Stansted ATC within a designated area and subject to certain conditions.​

Visiting Aircraft

• Visiting Aircraft aircraft must contact Vintage Fabrics for PPR and a full brief.​

• Aircraft shall select code A7010 (aerodrome traffic pattern conspicuity) whilst flying in or approaching/leaving the notified area.

• Departing aircraft, once they have left the CTR should select A7000 or other appropriate SSR code and shall select A7010 before re-entering the CTR. Once outside the vicinity of Audley End, pilots are encouraged to make use of the Stansted monitoring code A7013.

• Whilst within the Stansted CTR, aircraft shall fly not above 1500ft Stansted QNH and listen out on SafetyCom, 135.480MHz.​​

Non-equipped Aircraft

• A non-equipped aircraft (an aircraft without Mode S Elementary SSR equipment which includes a pressure altitude reporting transponder) may gain access to Audley End via the Stansted CTR subject to obtaining a clearance from TC Stansted on 120.625MHz. Aircraft shall contact TC Stansted in good time to request a clearance and then revert to SafetyCom, 135.480MHz before joining the Audley End Circuit.

• A non-equipped aircraft may depart Audley End via the Stansted CTR subject to the prior approval of TC GS Airports after coordination with TC Stansted.
