Vintage Fabrics continues to recover aircraft in the
traditional manner of Irish Linen and Nitrate Cellulose
tautening dopes, but it also maintains a steady flow of
modern polyester cotton fabric recovers on the more
modern sport and aerobatic aircraft.
Vintage Fabrics can research and duplicate any fabric
recover techniques, such as World War Two German fabric
techniques to interwar RAF techniques. Research comes
from original factory drawings, photographs and if
available original aircraft for comparison.
Vintage Fabrics also carries out specialist leather work
for all types of aircraft, such as leather control
boots, cockpit combing, seat covers and leather gaiters.
Please contact us for details.
Vintage Fabrics also covers warbird fuel tanks. This is
a major safety feature on the Spitfire, Hurricane and ME
109. All types of fuel tanks are catered for.
